The Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons is a highly prestigious postgraduate medical qualification in Pakistan. Awarded by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP), FCPS is a mandatory requirement for building a career as a specialist doctor in the country.

FCPS Part 1

FCPS Part 1 is the first step in your FCPS journey. This exam primarily tests the basic knowledge of aspirants. Whether you are looking to pursue FCPS in OBG, surgery, medicine, or any other specialty, the Part 1 examination will be common for you.

Mode of examination: computer based exam
Number of papers: Two papers
Number of questions: 100 MCQs for each part
Duration of exam: 2 Hr 30 Minutes for each part.

FCPS OBG IMM Written

If you are looking for an OBG career in Pakistan, then the FCPS OBG IMM Written Exam is a mandatory step for you. This theory exam consists of two papers with multiple-choice questions.

Paper 1 – 100 MCQ
Duration of the exam – 120 Minutes (2 Hr 00 Minutes)
Break – Approx. 30 Minutes
Paper 2 – 100 MCQ
Duration of the exam – 120 Minutes (2 Hr. 00 Minutes)
Scoring pattern: Candidates needs to score a combined 75% to clear the exam

FCPS OBG Part 2 Written

FCPS OBG Part 2 Written is a computer-based exam/test (CBT) which consists of Multiple Choice questions.

Number of questions:
Paper 1 – 100 MCQ – OBS & GYNAE
Paper 2 – 100 MCQ- OBS & GYNAE
Duration of the exam – 150 Minutes (2 Hr. 30 Minutes) for conventional Exams and 2 hours for Online Exams
Marking pattern: Candidates need to score a combined 75% to clear the exam.

FCPS OBG Part 2 Extended TOACS

FCPS Part 2 Extended TOACS is a clinical exam that evaluates your clinical knowledge, history, and basics. This face-to-face exam includes real evaluation of live patients.

Number of cases: Two cases
Case 1 – Obstetrics
Time Frame: 60 Minutes
Case 2 – Gynaecology
Time Frame: 60 Minutes
Exam format: Objective structured clinical exam
