The Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) is a prestigious postgraduate medical qualification in Pakistan awarded by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). The FCPS program is to provide advanced medical knowledge and training to medical professionals seeking specialization in their respective fields. To be eligible for FCPS in Pakistan, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized medical college. The degree must be registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
Candidates must have completed a one-year internship after obtaining their MBBS degree. The internship must be undertaken at a hospital recognized by the PMDC or PMC.
Candidates must register with the PMDC or PMC and submit a valid registration certificate along with their application.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant field. This experience should be gained after completing the one-year internship.
In addition to the general eligibility criteria mentioned above, candidates must also meet specific eligibility criteria for their chosen specialty. These criteria may vary from one specialty to another and are determined by the CPSP.
